Emilyn Alejandro, PhD
Program Director, Emilyn Alejandro, Ph.D. is a Land-Grant McKnight Professor, McKnight Presidential Fellow and an Associate Professor in the Department of Integrative Biology and Physiology (IBP) at the UMN Medical School. Dr. Alejandro’s active research programs are primarily supported by NIDDK. Dr. Alejandro is a Faculty of the PhD Programs of IBP, Molecular, Cellular, Developmental Biology, and Genetics (MCDB&G), Biochemistry, Molecular Biology and Biophysics (BMBB), Pharmacology, and she is a preceptor for the Medical Scientist Training Program and the Master’s Program in Stem Cell Biology. She currently holds a Land-Grant Professorship in Diabetes and directs T32 in Systems Biology of Cardiovascular Inflammation.

Lisa Chow, MD
Co-Director, Dr. Lisa Chow, MD. Dr. Chow is a Professor of Medicine with Tenure and an NIH/NIDDK-funded academic endocrinologist at UMN. She is currently Division Director for Diabetes, Endocrinology and Metabolism (DEM) and holds the Pennock Family Land Grant Chair in Diabetes Research.  Dr. Chow is the Program Director  for the T32 Research Training Program, Division of Diabetes, Endocrinology and Metabolism.
